Shadow Mountain is a quiet community in Moreno Valley, California that offers beautiful views overlooking a local park and the mountains.

You’ll find a variety of Spanish and Mediterranean architectural designs as well as floor plans in this neighborhood. Many of these estates have two-level homes. Shadow Mountain Park features sports fields, playgrounds, and picnic areas. The larger Box Springs Mountain Park to the west offers 15 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking.

Moreno Valley Unified School District has jurisdiction over this community. Students may attend facilities such as Hidden Springs Elementary School, Vista Heights Middle School, and Canyon Springs High School. There are also several private and charter schools available like Valley Christian Academy, Calvary Christian School, and Riverside County Educational Academy. Moreno Valley College has more than 6,000 students and there are several other colleges in Riverside.

Stores and restaurants can be found near the Interstate 215. You will find several shopping centers like Moreno Valley Mall and the Rio Rancho Super Mall. There are several golfing venues in this region like the Canyon Crest Country Club which offers youth camps, a fitness center, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and facilities for special events.

Moreno Valley is one of the younger cities in the region and is a part of Riverside County and the San Bernardino-Riverside Metropolitan area. It became the second largest as far as population in the county by the 2000s. The economy has seen more business parks and corporate offices in the last few years and there have been talks of welcoming a minor league baseball team from the California League.
