Moreno Valley is one of the younger cities in the region and is a part of Riverside County and the San Bernardino-Riverside Metropolitan area. It became the second largest as far as population in the county by the 2000s. The economy has seen more business parks and corporate offices in the last few years and there have been talks of welcoming a minor league baseball team from the California League.
